Lawyer from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) and Master in Foreign Trade from the Carlos III University of Madrid. His extensive professional career in the main law firms of the country (Senior Partner of MOAR Abogados 2017 - 2019 and Senior Associate of the Customs and Foreign Trade Department of Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados 2007 - 2017), as well as in one of the “Big Four” accounting firms (Senior of the International Trade Area of ​​EY 2003 - 2007), has allowed him to provide specialized advice to important national and international business groups such as ABB, CAMPOSOL, COFACO, ENTEL, GILDEMEISTER, GOODYEAR, HUDBAY, HOCHSCHILD, LATAM PROPERTIES, NAVIERA TRANSOCEANICA, ORACLE, QUICORNAC, SWISS CHEMISTRY, REPSOL, SOUTHERN PERU, TASA, TOPY TOP and VOLVO, besides being recognized by Chambers Latin America, on several occasions, as one of the most outstanding professionals in Peru at International Trade / WTO.

Practice Area

His practice focuses, mainly, on the corporate advice of investors or foreign companies that want to develop business in Peru, in customs planning, preventive customs audits, implementation of customs regimes (Drawback) and the Authorized Economic Operator program, application of International Tariff Reduction Agreements (FTA), support in customs inspections, return of duties and taxes incorrectly o improperly paid, structuring of international operations and legal assistance in challenging processes with the Customs Administration, the Tax Court and the Justice Court.

Professional and Academic activities

Currently, Charles is an active member of the Foreign Trade Facilitation Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru – AMCHAM and of the Peruvian Association of Customs Law and International Trade – APDACI. In the same way, he works as a university professor, is the author of several works and articles related to his area of specialization and participates as an exhibitor in both academic and business forums at a national and international level.
